2 t oil, butter or ghee
12 onions, diced
1 t salt
3/4 t turmeric
1/2 t poultry seasoning
1/2 t cajun seasoning
1/4 t black pepper
1 slice of ginger, minced
3 pods/bulbs of garlic, peeled and sliced in half
4 c water
1 c soy milk
a handful of fresh cut parsley
1/4 t cayenne
1/2 lemon, juiced
1. Stir first 8 and allow flavors to meld while you prep 3 pods/bulbs of garlic, peeled and sliced in half. Add water and milk. Add a handful of fresh cut parsley. Continue cooking on high for three hours.
2. Use an immersion blender in the pot, then add last 2. Allow flavors to meld on warm a short while. Adjust the recipe to suit your likes. Use broth instead of water. Use milk, cream or sour cream instead of soy milk.
