1 kilo / 2 lb 4 oz boneless gammon joint
1 litre / 1 ¾ pints dry cider
3 tbsp light brown sugar
2 bay leaves
2 star anise
8 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks, snapped in half
juice of 1 orange
1 orange cut into slices
1. Add all the ingredients to the Slow cooker apart from the gammon, stir to combine and then add the gammon.
2. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
3. Remove the ham from the Slow cooker and allow to rest for about 10 minutes before carving. Tip: The liquid ingredients are the same ingredients as Mulled Cider. Why not make the cider and then cook the gammon in the left over mulled cider!
