1 kilo / 2 lb 4 oz boneless gammon joint
handful whole cloves
5 tbsp light brown sugar
75 0ml apple juice
5 tbsp runny honey
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp ground nutmeg
2 tbsp ground cloves
1. Add half the apple juice to the Slow cooker with the cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves, give it a good stir.
2. Score the gammon across the top and push the whole cloves into the gammon.
3. Place the gammon into the Slow cooker.
4. Top up the apple juice and water to cover the gammon joint.
5. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
6. Remove the ham from the Slow cooker, drizzle with honey and sprinkle the sugar on top, place in a hot over around 200C for 20 mins.
7. allow to rest for about 10 minutes before carving.
