5 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
5 whole allspice berries
2 pounds ground beef
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
2 cups water
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 cloves minced garlic
2 chopped onions
1 Tbsp. cracked red pepper flakes
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can kidney beans (optional)
Spaghetti (optional)
Hot Dogs (optional)
Grated cheddar cheese
1. Brown ground beef and put in Slow Cooker
2. Add allspice and 1 of the chopped onions (this is when you can tie-off the bay leaf, allspice and cloves)
3. Cook on low for 8 hours
4. If using beans, add during the last 45 minutes of cook time
5. Serve chili over spaghetti and top with fresh chopped onion and cheese
