Ingredients:

16 oz bag of northern beans

2 ham hocks

1 carrot diced

1/4 cup diced onion

2 stalks celery diced

garlic powder

black pepper

parsley

1 chicken bouillon

a bit of red pepper flakes

Directions:

1. Soak 16 oz bag of northern beans in water overnight. Drain off the old water and put beans in a big pot, fill with fresh water.

2. Add 2 ham hocks, 1 carrot diced, 1/4 cup diced onion, 2 stalks celery diced, garlic powder, black pepper, parsley, 1 chicken bouillon and a bit of red pepper flakes. Start off on high heat until water boils, then turn down to a simmer with lid on for 8 hours.

3. Then remove meat from ham hock, return to pot and eat.
