Ingredients:

1 1/2 ground beef/chuck

1 c corn (if you use can do not drain and just use whole can)

1 c peas (if you use can do not drain and just use whole can)

1 - 1/2 can cut green beans (not drained)

1 c carrots sliced thin and in half

1 large onion diced

1/2 c peppers diced (green and colored together)

2 celery stalks (diced very thin and small)

3 clove garlic

4 cans beef broth

3 tbs tom paste

1 can diced italian tomatoes with juice

4-5 potatoes

1/2 tsp oregano

1/4 - 1/2 cayenne

2 tbsp worcestershire

2 c hot water

1 1/2 c instant barley

Directions:

1. In a lg pot cook on med heat ground beef and all fresh veggies (not canned veggies) and garlic together until meat is brown, drain fat.

2. Add tomato paste stir well, then mix in broth, your tomatoes, Worcestershire and spices, add all canned veggies with juice and potatoes mix and bring to a boil.

3. Put on med heat for 10 min.

4. Add 2 cup hot water and the barley, cook 10 more minutes.
