9 brats
water, just to cover brats to cook in
4 (5.5oz) boxes of Au Gratin Potatoes
12 c water
2 (16-oz) pkg frozen mixed vegetables
12 c milk
4 pkg sauce mix from the potatoes above
2 c milk
4 tablespoons flour
1. Boil brats in water for a short time to remove some of the grease.
2. Drain water, after brats are slightly cooled remove skin and chop into small pieces. Set them aside.
3. Empty the bags of potatoes from the boxes into a large pot and add the water. Cook until potatoes are nearly tender, but not mushy.
4. Add the frozen mixed vegetables. If water has cooked away to much add enough to just cover vegetables and potatoes. Cook until vegetables are done. In a saucepan mix milk and the brat pieces, heat. Do not boil. Set aside.
5. Make the Cheese Sauce (Mix sauce mix from the potatoes above, milk, flour). When vegetables are done add Cheese Sauce. Add milk and brat pieces.
6. Cook slightly until thickened.
