3 1/2 - 4 lb. while chicken
2 t. butter
2 tsp. smoked paprika
1 1/2 tsp. house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper, combine and store in an airtight container)
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
1. Wash the chicken, removing the gizzards from the cavity, pat dry. Rub the skin with some butter, making sure to tuck some of the butter under the skin of the breasts.
2. Mix together the remaining ingredients and rub all over the chicken. Place a rack or balls of tinfoil in the bottom of your Slow Cooker. Place the chicken on the rack, cover and cook on high for 4 1/2 hours or low for 6-7.
