SC Turkey, Mushroom Dressing & Asparagus

Ingredients:

4 1/2 c spelt bread, cubed (6 slices)

1/2 c sweet onion, diced small

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 t salt

1/2 t each: sage, thyme, poultry seasoning

1/4 t black pepper

Directions:

1. You can vary the ingredients to your liking. Drain mushrooms and chop, add with 1/2 c broth to your dressing, reserving 1 c for later.

2. Set aside while you prepare your meat and vegetables.

3. Season meat with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning, then place into pot. Add 1/2 clove chopped garlic and some parsley.

4. Top meat with dressing; top dressing with vegetables. Frozen vegetables may be used.

5. Add another 1/4 t each salt & pepper, parsley and butter. Add the reserved mushroom broth and set to low for six hours.
