1 onion, sliced
handful of mushrooms, chopped
2 beef skirt steaks or braising steaks, cut into strips
1 1/2 cup beef stock
1 tbsp. tomato puree
1 tbsp. English mustard
120 ml / 1/2 cup sour cream
1. Fry the steak to brown on all sides and add to the Slow cooker.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients to the Slow cooker except the sour cream, season to taste and cook on low for 7 - 8 hours.
3. Once cooked turn off the Slow cooker and stir in the sour cream. Allow to stand for 5 minutes with the lid on to warm through and serve. Thicken with corn flour if needed.
4. Tip: if following slimming world or watch your fat intake then replace the sour cream with fat free cream fraiche or quark.
