2 cups of elbow pasta
1 and a half pounds of Italian sausage
a quarter of diced onions
2 cloves of garlic
28 oz can of whole tomatoes
1 tsp of dried oregano
1 tsp of salt and black pepper
2 sprigs of basil
1. Boil 2 cups of elbow pasta until aldente, strain and set aside. Now brown 1 and a half pounds of Italian sausage with a quarter of diced onions, 2 cloves of garlic chopped in a deep skillet, drain the fat.
2. Now pour in one 28 oz can of whole tomatoes, 1 tsp of dried oregano, 1 tsp of salt and black pepper. Mashed the tomatoes into chunks, add a half cup of water, 2 sprigs of basil and stir well and simmer on low for 20 minutes.
3. Remove the basil and add your pasta, stir to combine and pour into a baking dish top with your favorite cheese and bake on 350° for 10 minutes Remove from the oven and enjoy. We enjoyed this with a salad.
