Ginger Nuts

Ingredients:

3/4 lb S. R. flour

3 tablespoon golden syrup

1 teaspoon carb soda

salt

1/2 lb sugar

1/4 lb margarine

3 heaped teaspoon ginger

1 egg

Directions:

  1. 1. Melt butter and golden syrup.
  2. 2. Add dry ingredients.
  3. 3. Add the beaten egg.
  4. 4. Roll into small balls and press.
  5. 5. Bake at 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C / Gas 4 Moderate.
  6. 6. Oven for 20 minutes.
