1lb beans
carrots
onion
celery
minced garlic
1 bay leaf
1 can chicken broth
1 ham hock plus extra ham
1. Oregano, salt, pepper, garlic powder (all seasoning to taste).
2. Combine all ingredients in pot or crock pot add 5 cups water simmer for 6 hours (add more water as needed). In last two hours add seasoning. If you buy a ham hock from the store be sure to boil it first to reduce the saltiness.
