1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. honey
1 egg
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk
1. In a small bowl, combine the oats, flours, baking soda, salt and sugar. In another small bowl, beat the egg, oil, buttermilk, and honey.
2. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter by 1/3 cupsful onto a greased hot griddle.
3. Turn when bubbles form on top, cook until the second side is golden brown.
