half a cooked chicken
1/2 c. rice, uncooked
5 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
2 lbs. carrots, chopped
5 cloves garlic, pressed
salt, pepper
thyme
1. Cover chicken with water and simmer for 1/2 hr.
2. Remove meat, let cool.
3. Add carrots, celery, onion, garlic, and seasonings. Pick meat off bones and add to broth. Simmer for 1/2 hour.
4. Add rice. Cook 1/2 hr or until vegetables are tender.
