Lentil Soup with Ham and Bacon

Ingredients:

olive oil

8 cups beef broth

1 cup carrot, chopped

2 cups ham, chopped

3⁄4 cup celery, chopped

1⁄2 cup onion, chopped

1 (6 ounce) can chopped tomatoes

1⁄2 teaspoon dried marjoram

1 1⁄2 lbs dry lentils

2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

1 cup bacon, chopped

Directions:

1. Heat olive oil in sauté pan over medium heat. Sauté bacon until firm; remove from heat and move to crock pot.

2. Add remaining ingredients to crock pot.

3. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 6-8 hours, until lentils are tender.
