Ingredients:

lamb shank

1 jar of pickled onions (with juice)

1 bay leaf

Directions:

1. Dust shanks with flour and brown them in some oil. Transfer to pan or ovenproof dish.

2. Our the entire jar of pickled onions with juices.

3. Cover dish and bake in the oven at 150deg for about two hours.

4. In the last hour, open and pour juices on the shanks, then resume cooking. Do this every 20 mins in the last hour.

5. Serve with sour cream and cheese couscous.
