unsalted butter 150 g (2/3 cup)
caster sugar 150 g (2/3 cup)
self-rising flour 150 g (1 and 1/5 cup)
eggs 3
milk 2 tbsp
vanilla extract 1 1/2 tsp
baking powder 1 tsp
1. Preheat the oven to 160 degree Celsius or gas mark. Then line a cupcake try with cupcake cases.
2. Add the butter and sugar to a large mixing bowl and beat these together. Add egg one at a time, mix between each one. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
3. Add the baking powder to the flour and stir it in.
4. Add your flour baking powder mix to your wet mixture. After mixing in all the flour and baking powder, add the milk and mix that in so now you are going to spoon the batter into the ceases. Spoon them in until about a third full.
5. Now bake them in the oven for about 25 min. Once they are golden brown on top, you know it’s done now. Take them out the oven then leave them for 5 min. before transferring them to a cooling rack.
