Easy Baked Center Cut Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 3 thick center cut pork chops
  • 1 box of stovetop brand cornbread stuffing
  • olive oil and seasoning salt
  • poultry seasoning, thyme and rubbed sage

Directions

  1. Prepare stovetop stuffing using the microwave method and add an additional 1/4 tsp of dry thyme, 1/4 tsp poultry seasoning and 1/2 tsp of dry rubbed sage to the mix before cooking. After it is cooked remove from oven and set aside
  2. Prepare pork chops utilizing a small sharp knife, create a one inch slit in the inside side of the chop. Move the knife around inside the chop creating a hole inside the chop. Make sure not to pierce the chop all the way thru. Take the cooled stuffing and stuff it into the hole of the chop. Keep stuffing until the chop has expanded in size and feels full. Repeat with other chops.
  3. Preheat a skillet to medium high heat. Put some olive oil in skillet. Sprinkle seasoning salt on both sides of stuffed chops. Place all in skillet and brown for exactly 4 minutes. Then turn over and brown on other side for four minutes.
  4. Place browned chops onto pan or dish on top of remaining stuffing. Cook uncovered at 425 for approximately 21 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 145°F.
  5. Prepare a readymade gravy mix or jar if needed.
