Hungarian Meatball Soup

Ingredients:

3 carrots sliced

1/2 onion chopped

2 stalks celery sliced

large can tomatoes, any kind or 3 fresh tomatoes peeled.

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon granulated garlic

6 cups liquid (water, vegetable broth, chicken broth, etc)

1 pound ground beef (meat balls)

1 cup rice (meat balls)

2 cloves crushed garlic (meat balls)

salt and pepper (meat balls)

Directions:

  1. 1. Combine all 7 first ingredients in large pot bring to a boil and simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Form into balls of desired size, roll in flour, and brown on all sides in oil.
  3. 3. Put browned meatballs into soup and cook for 20 minutes.
