Ingredients:
1 box of yellow cake mix (cake)
1 cup of water (cake)
3 eggs (cake)
1/3 cup of vegetable oil (cake)
6 granny smith apples peeled, cored and sliced thinly (apple pie)
4 tbsp brown sugar (apple pie)
1 tsp cinnamon (apple pie)
1 tsp lemon juice (apple pie)
3/4 cup flour (top)
1/2 cup brown sugar (top)
1/4 tsp salt (top)
1/2 cup butter (top)
Directions:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13X9 Inch Pan.
- 2. Make Yellow Cake Mix according to instructions on the box.
- 3. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the apples, 4 tbsp brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. For Top Layer: with Apples peeled, cored, and sliced thinly. gar, salt, and butter.
- 5. Pour the Yellow Cake Batter into the pan and layer the apple mixture on top.
- 6. Then layer the top layer on top of the apples.
- 7. Bake for 45 -50 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
- 8. Allow the cake to fully cool and sift powdered sugar on top if desired or leave as is.
