Ingredients:

1 box of yellow cake mix (cake)

1 cup of water (cake)

3 eggs (cake)

1/3 cup of vegetable oil (cake)

6 granny smith apples peeled, cored and sliced thinly (apple pie)

4 tbsp brown sugar (apple pie)

1 tsp cinnamon (apple pie)

1 tsp lemon juice (apple pie)

3/4 cup flour (top)

1/2 cup brown sugar (top)

1/4 tsp salt (top)

1/2 cup butter (top)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13X9 Inch Pan.

2. Make Yellow Cake Mix according to instructions on the box.

3. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the apples, 4 tbsp brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. For Top Layer: with Apples peeled, cored, and sliced thinly. gar, salt, and butter.

5. Pour the Yellow Cake Batter into the pan and layer the apple mixture on top.

6. Then layer the top layer on top of the apples.

7. Bake for 45 -50 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.

8. Allow the cake to fully cool and sift powdered sugar on top if desired or leave as is.
