Stuffed Chicken

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless

4 slices ham lunch meat

4 slices parmesan, romano, or other strong cheese

1/2 c. italian bread crumbs

15 oz. can tomato sauce

1 tbsp. italian seasoning

Directions:

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut a pocket in each chicken breast. Roll a cheese slice in each piece of ham. Stuff each cheese roll into a chicken pocket. Secure opening with a toothpick. Roll chicken breast lightly in bread crumbs.
  2. 2. Bake in preheated oven for 50 - 55 minutes.
  3. 3. Mix tomato sauce and Italian seasoning together in a small saucepan. Simmer for 20 minutes. When chicken is finished baking, pour sauce over each serving.
