Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- food color if desired
Directions
- Decorating ideas: sprinkles, icing, candies, crushed nuts, melted chocolate, powdered sugar etc.
- Pre heat oven to 400°F. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed. Stir in flour, salt, egg and vanilla. If using food coloring add a few drops at this time.
- Place dough in cookie press according to your cookie press instructions. Press cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with sprinkles or sugar at this time. Bake 5-8 minutes or until set but not brown. Decorate after baking if desired.
