Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg

1/4 tsp vanilla

food color if desired

Directions:

1. 1. Decorating ideas: sprinkles, icing, candies, crushed nuts, melted chocolate, powdered sugar etc.
2. 2. Pre heat oven to 400. Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed. Stir in flour, salt, egg and vanilla. If using food coloring add a few drops at this time.
3. 3. Place dough in cookie press according to your cookie press instructions. Press cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with sprinkles or sugar at this time. Bake 5-8 minutes or until set but not brown. Decorate after baking if desired.
