Ingredients:
¾ cup dark cocoa
1 1⁄3 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
a pinch of cinnamon
2⁄3 cup un-salted butter, melted and divided
½ cup boiling hot water
1½ cups granulated sugar
2 lrg eggs
1 tsp almond extract or vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1-12 oz. bag hershey’s chocolate chips
6 oz. hershey’s peanut butter chips
Directions:
- 1. 375° oven.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine cocoa, cinnamon and baking soda. Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter. Add the boiling water and stir well to blend. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining melted butter.
- 3. Slowly add flour, vanilla, and salt. Stir in chocolate/peanut butter chips and blend. Pour into a greased or sprayed with Bakers Joy, 9” x 11” glass dish and bake 40 - 45 minutes. Use toothpick to check center for doneness. It should come out mainly dry.
- 4. Let cool then cut into squares using a plastic serrated knife to prevent sticking and crumbling.
