1 cup besan (gram flour)
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
2 bananas
1 apple
2 tablespoons raisins (kishmish)
2 tablespoons crushed almonds
2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
2 cups fresh yogurt (cold)
2 tablespoons sugar or honey
1. In a large bowl add besan, chaat masala, salt and baking powder then adding a little water at a time make a thick paste. Leave the better for 10 minutes. Heat some oil in a large pan and using a tablespoon add small dollop of better in the oil and fry on medium heat until light golden.
2. Soak these phulkian (dumplings) in water for 5 minutes then take them out and squeeze all the water out by pressing them between your hands.
3. In a serving bowl add yoghurt and sugar/honey and mix until sugar is desolved and yoghurt is smooth. Now chop bananas and apple and mix it to yoghurt. Now make a layer of phulkian then add fruit yoghurt on top. At the end sprinkle with chopped almonds, pomegranate seeds, raisins and some chaat masala and serve.
