Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (16 ounce) cans fruit cocktail (undrained)
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
3/4 cup sugar (glaze)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (glaze)
1/2 cup butter (glaze)
1/4 cup evaporated milk (glaze)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (glaze)
Directions:
- 1. Bars. Beat eggs and sugar. Add the rest of ingredients and mix well.
- 2. Spread in greased,13x9 pan.
- 3. Sprinkle batter with the walnuts and 1 1/2 cup coconut.
- 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 5. Glaze. Mix all the glaze ingredients together in a small saucepan, boil 2 minutes.
- 6. Remove from heat and pour over the still warm bars.
