6 cups chicken broth
3 medium carrots, sliced
2 medium stalks celery, chopped
2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 small onion chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp ground savory
1/2 tsp thyme
1 pound cooked chicken breasts cut up or shredded
1(about 1 cup) egg noodles or your favorite pasta
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1. Combine ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or till vegetables are tender.
2. Add parsley and pasta noodles and simmer 10 minutes longer. To substitute savory use about half the amount of Thyme & add some sage.
