Ingredients:

4 cup sugar

2 cups white vinegar

4 cinnamon sticks

15 whole cloves

4 lbs. Fresh peaches peeled, pitted and sliced or halved

Directions:

1. Pour sugar and vinegar in a saucepan add cinnamon and cloves. Bring to a boil cover boil for 5 minutes. Strain out spices.

2. Pack peaches in hot sterile pint jars to within 1 inch of rim. Fill jars with liquid to within 1/2 from top. Place tops on and screw lids. Process in a hot water bath 10 minutes.
