6 bananas peeled
1 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 cup of salted butter sliced in small pieces or melted
2 1/2 ap flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup vegetable or canola oil
1 peeled and sliced banana
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla or banana extract
1. Makes one springform pan or 10-inch cake. Heat oven °350. Spray and flour pan.
2. Slice 5 bananas and lay in prepared pan, evenly. Spoon brown sugar over bananas leaving no bare spots. Place sliced butter or pour melted butter over banana and brown sugar mixture.
3. Mix together with a electric mixer next 8 ingredients. Mix all together until well blended.
4. Pour onto brown sugar and banana mixture evenly. Place pan on a foil lined rack in the oven in case it overflows the pan.
5. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick or cake tester. Let cake cool for twenty minutes. Take a spatula and loosen the cake from around the pan.
6. Place your desired cake plate on top of cake and flip the cake over, the cake top should now be at the bottom with the caramelized bananas now at the top. Cool, and enjoy with a scoop of your favorite whipped topping or ice cream
