5 lbs potatoes
3 lb thick cut smoked bacon
1 stick butter
1 large onion
3 cups milk
water
salt
pepper
1 tbsp chicken base
1. Instant potatoes to thicken soup.
2. Peel and dice potatoes, cover with just enough water to cook, cook till tender.
3. Add milk, onion, butter, base, bacon and cook on low for 30 minutes
4. Bake bacon on sheet pan till crispy then crumble into soup. Turn burner on medium and add enough instant potatoes to thicken to desired thickness.
