Orange Brownies

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

¾ cup sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon baking soda

2 eggs

¼ cup plain yogurt

zest of 1 orange

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

2 tablespoons of pulp or however much you have

1 cup powdered sugar (glaze)

left over zest of the original orange (glaze)

left over orange juice for the original orange (glaze)

Directions:

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. 2. Line an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9-inch square pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving extra for “handles.”
  3. 3. Put all ingredients into a bowl.
  4. 4. Stir by hand until smooth (about 30 seconds).
  5. 5. Spread batter in the pan and bake for about 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes.
  7. 7. Lift out of the pan and spread glaze over warm brownies.
  8. 8. Glaze: Stir orange ingredients together in a bowl, adding juice gradually add in powdered sugar until you get a honey thick consistency for a spreadable glaze.
