1 lb. Italian Sausage
16 oz. chicken broth
20 oz. of three-cheese tortellini
8 oz. cream cheese
1-2 cans of diced tomatoes (do not drain)
1. Set cream cheese out and brown Italian Sausage on stove.
2. Add the sausage, tortellini, tomatoes and chicken broth to the crock pot. Add the cream cheese in chunks.
3. Stir all to make sure everything is evenly distributed and liquids are covering the tortellini.
4. Cook on LOW for 2.5 - 3 hours. You don’t want it to be mushy so cook times could vary pending on your crockpot. Check it so it doesn’t cook too long to end up mushy. Some people remove lid towards end of cooking time to thicken sauce.
5. Stir again an hour and a half through cooking then again after 3 hours. For the last 30 minutes of cooking time; leave uncovered to thicken sauce.
