1 pkg. hillshire farm smoked polish kielbasa sausage diced
1 large sweet onion or 2 medium. quartered then sliced thin
1/2 head of green cabbage sliced thin
4 tsp. crushed garlic
1 tsp. dill seeds
1/2 tsp. anise seeds (strictly optional)
1/4 cup sweet salted butter cubed
8 oz. med. egg noodles ( uncooked )
fresh ground pepper
1 3/4 cup water
1 cup frozen peas
1. Layer in crockpot this order. Half the large onion or a full med. one. Diced sausage. Uncooked egg noodles.
2. Half the cabbage. Fresh ground pepper. Half the garlic, dill seed, and butter.
3. Second layer. Rest of the cabbage, garlic, dill seed, butter and the anise seeds if using them. Lay in the rest of onion on top. More fresh pepper. Pour water on top and cover.
4. Cook 4 hours on low, stir, add the peas and stir again. Cover and cook another 30 min. Serve with a rye bread and butter.
